Greg Urich is a Laboratory Manager and Project Manager with over 15 years of professional experience encompassing a wide breadth of laboratory, geotechnical engineering, special inspection, and environmental services. Greg’s primary responsibility is managing all aspects of IES’s Soils and Materials Testing Laboratory and conducting an expansive array of soils and materials testing procedures adhering to American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards.

Proficiencies include:

  • Field and laboratory sampling/testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, grout, mortar, soil-cement, sprayed fire resistive material, asphalt, and rock
  • Special inspections involving the placement of rebar, concrete, asphalt, sprayed fire resistive materials, and controlled fill
  • Providing drilling and test pit oversight for geotechnical and environmental subsurface investigations
  • Geotechnical logging and classification of soil and rock
  • Environmental screening, logging, sampling, and analytical data analysis of soil, groundwater, and air
  • Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
